AUTOBAHN ORIGINAL BRIDGE BLUEPRINTS & LETTER

Stock # 1578
Category: DAF & RAD, Autobahn & Reichsbahn
Price: $395.00

Wow-! Superb and super rare grouping consists of actual blueprints of two-different bridges used in the construction of the worlds famous Reichsautobahn as well as an official letter from the Reichsautobahn's second important regional office out of Munich, dated January, 1938- !

Blueprints are approx 9x12" and are approved finished copies of two different bridges to be erected between Salzburg and Linz (one over water, one over a steep valley).

Letter/document is from the Reichsautobahn Oberst Bauleitung (Head Building/construction) Munchen and appears to pertain to the firming-up and/or re-construction of some area which may have resulted in an injury (as a copy passes to the compensation bureau).

The one bridge ("Traunbrucke bei Steyrermuhl") which is built to pass across a river, is titled "Reichsautobahn" in the upper left corner. It is also dated 1939 on the bottom right corner ( which is the approx. scheduled completion date) .

This grouping would look phenomenal professionally framed and with a couple period photo postcards of the Reichsautobahn and a couple of its bridges.

Letter has mailing folds and age and is VG+. Blueprints are unfolded and VF/NM .

Very rare material. We don't anticipate coming across any more any time soon-!!
