large 4-page file card (5x8") for a 21 year-old Russian woman from Roschewka named Maria Schita. This file card was held in the main DAF office in Regensburg Bavaria .

Young Maria was sent from Roschewka to Regensburg Bavaria not long after the Russian invasion. She was assigned as a cleaning lady to a widow named Therese Lechermann, whose husband was an Army captain who had recently fell at the Eastern Front.

When Regensburg was in danger of being over run by the Russian's towards the end of the war, the young Russian woman Maria helped her employer Therese move further west into the Rhineland (where the widow had relatives on her husband's side). The Russian woman actually accompanied the German widow for the had grown close, having lost their loved ones in the war.
